Terms of Service

By agreeing to these Terms, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence, and that you have given consent for any minor dependents to use the Site on devices you own, purchase, or manage.

The Site does not require you to create an account. To authorize a bid, request a quote, or complete a purchase, you may be asked to provide information such as your name, email address, phone number, location, and billing or shipping details. You represent and warrant that all information you provide is correct, current, and complete, and that you have all rights necessary to provide it.

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone, for any reason, at any time.

GET Japan Auctions is a curation and quoting platform. We monitor Yahoo Auctions Japan and other Japanese marketplaces, select listings we believe are of interest, translate the seller’s description into English, and publish an estimated all-in landed price for pickup in Pomona, California.

Listings on this Site are not our inventory. Except where a listing expressly states that an item is already in our possession, we do not own, hold, or control any item shown on this Site at the time it is published. Each listing describes an item offered by a third-party seller in Japan that we would bid on or purchase on your behalf through our Import Service.

There is no instant checkout on this Site, and no item is reserved for you at the moment you submit a form. What a submitted form does is authorize us to act on your behalf. For an auction listing, it authorizes us to bid up to the maximum you state and commits you to pay the final winning price if that bid succeeds. For a fixed-price listing, it commits you to purchase at the all-in price shown at the time you submit. Nothing on this Site constitutes an offer by us to sell, and we may decline or withdraw any authorization. Section 4 describes what happens next.

Prices shown on this Site are estimates. They are calculated from the current bid or Buy It Now price at the time of publication, our service charges, estimated domestic shipping within Japan, estimated ocean freight, and estimated duties. Because auction prices change until the auction closes, and because currency exchange rates, freight rates, and duty rates fluctuate, the final invoiced amount may differ from the estimate displayed.

Listings marked as requiring a manual quote have no published price and will be quoted individually.

Item descriptions, condition notes, images, and specifications published on this Site originate with the third-party seller in Japan and have been translated by us. Translations are provided for convenience and may contain errors or omissions. We do not independently inspect items prior to purchase unless a listing expressly states otherwise. Colors and appearance may differ from how they appear on your screen.

Many of the items shown are used, imported, discontinued, or out of production, and may show wear, differ from original specification, or vary from prior production runs. We do not warrant that the appearance, fitment, or condition of any item will match your expectations or exactly match how it is depicted on this Site.

The Site may contain typographical errors, inaccuracies, or omissions relating to descriptions, pricing, availability, transit times, or shipping charges. We reserve the right to correct such errors and to change, update, or withdraw a listing or quote at any time without prior notice, including after a form has been submitted, in which case any authorization it carried is void and nothing is owed.

The process is as follows: you review the listing and the all-in price published for it; for an auction you set the maximum you are willing to pay; you submit the form on that listing, which authorizes us to act; we bid or purchase on your behalf; and we invoice you only if that bid is won or that purchase completes.

Submitting the form on a listing is a commitment, not an inquiry. For an auction, you authorize us to bid on that listing up to the maximum you state, and you agree to pay the final winning price if we win, which may be any amount up to that maximum. For a fixed-price item, you commit to purchase at the all-in price displayed at the time you submit, and we will ordinarily invoice within 24 hours. A deposit is not required to authorize a bid on lower-value items. Higher-value items and vehicles require a deposit before we bid, on the deposit schedule published on our How It Works page, and we will tell you which applies to your item before you submit.

A bid, once placed, cannot be retracted. This is a rule of the auction platform and not our policy, and it applies to us in exactly the way it would apply to you. What we can do, if you contact us in time, is lower your stated maximum, so that we stop competing above the reduced figure. We cannot lower it below the amount already standing on the auction, and if the auction closes at or below that standing amount you are committed to it.

If you contact us before we have placed the bid at all, we can simply not place it, and nothing is owed. Because many Japanese auctions close overnight in Japan and bids are often placed close to the end, you should treat a request sent near the close of an auction as one that may not reach us in time. Submit the form only for an amount you are prepared to pay.

Placing a maximum bid does not mean the bid immediately increases to that amount. The bid rises incrementally, only as needed to outbid another bidder, up to your stated maximum. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you if you are outbid, but because many Japanese auctions close in the early morning hours in Japan, we cannot guarantee timely notice, and you acknowledge that you may not learn of being outbid before an auction closes.

We invoice only if a bid or purchase you authorized is successful. The invoiced amount reflects the actual winning bid or purchase price plus applicable service charges, and may differ from your stated maximum bid. It is commonly lower, because a bid rises only as far as it needs to.

Once we have won an auction or completed a purchase on your behalf, that purchase is final and cannot be canceled. Payment in full is due within 72 hours of invoicing unless we agree otherwise in writing. If payment is not received within this window, we may cancel the order, and you may be responsible for any resulting fees or losses we incur, including auction fees, seller cancellation charges, and shipping cancellation charges.

Quoted pricing consists of the following components:

• Our commission on the purchase price or winning bid, together with applicable tariffs, import taxes, and handling.
• Domestic shipping within Japan, from the seller to our consolidation point in Osaka. This varies by item size and seller location, and will be disclosed to you before you confirm a quote or authorize a bid.
• Ocean freight to California, at GET Japan’s published freight rates for the applicable item category. Those rates are listed on our How It Works page.
• Domestic U.S. shipping, if you elect it instead of pickup. This is quoted separately on request and is not included in listed pickup pricing.

Unless a listing or quote expressly states otherwise, listed prices are for pickup from Pomona, California, and do not include U.S. domestic shipping, sales tax where applicable, or any charges imposed after the item leaves our possession.

Rates, commission structures, and freight pricing are subject to change without notice. The pricing that applies to your purchase is the pricing stated in the quote you confirm.

Unless a specific listing expressly states otherwise, performance, racing, and aftermarket parts and accessories offered through this Site are intended for competition and off-road use only, are not intended for use on a public street or highway, and are only legal for use on vehicles that will never be registered, licensed, or operated upon a public highway.

Many of the parts we source may affect a vehicle’s emissions control systems and may not be certified by the California Air Resources Board (CARB) or comparable state or federal authorities. It is solely your responsibility to determine whether a given part is legal to install, use, or operate on a vehicle registered for street use in your state or locality before you purchase or install it.

GET Japan makes no representation that any item is street-legal, smog-legal, or emissions-compliant in any jurisdiction, and we are not responsible for any citation, fine, failed inspection, deregistration, or other consequence arising from an item’s use on a public road.

Where we source or import used vehicles from Japan (“Vehicles”), the following applies in addition to the rest of these Terms.

Vehicles are sold as-is and where-is, with all faults, and without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or condition, except as separately and expressly agreed by us in writing.

Odometer readings for imported Vehicles are typically stated in kilometers as recorded by the manufacturer or a prior owner. We do not independently verify their accuracy, and you acknowledge that mileage records for imported Vehicles may be incomplete or unverifiable. Many Vehicles are configured for the Japanese market, including right-hand-drive configuration, and may differ from vehicles built for the U.S. market.

We are not a licensed motor vehicle dealer in your state and do not act as your agent for purposes of registration, titling, insurance, or emissions compliance. It is solely your responsibility, before purchasing, to independently confirm that a Vehicle can be lawfully imported, titled, registered, insured, and operated in your state or locality, including compliance with any applicable federal, state, or local emissions, safety, and age-of-vehicle import requirements.

Where we handle export and import paperwork on your behalf, we will provide you with the documentation we receive or generate in that process. We do not guarantee that any Vehicle will be eligible for titling or registration in your particular state, and we are not responsible for delays, denials, or additional requirements imposed by any state motor vehicle authority.

Estimated and approximate arrival dates are not guaranteed. Providing a specific ETA is difficult because of the nature of consolidated container shipments. All customers receive updates by email.

Domestically shipped orders ship within one to two weeks after the container is unloaded.

If you require an item urgently, or by a specific deadline near the estimated arrival time, this service is not suitable for you.

We are not liable for shipping or delivery delays. We work with third-party logistics, freight, customs, and carrier partners in Japan and the United States, and we are not liable for their acts, omissions, or delays except to the extent required by applicable law. Once we transfer an item to a carrier for U.S. domestic delivery, title and risk of loss pass to you.

If a domestically shipped order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, you must contact us within 7 days of delivery so we can evaluate the issue. Claims made after this window may not be eligible for resolution.

GET Japan LLC is not responsible for sellers delivering items that are not as described. While receiving items not as described is uncommon, it can occur.

Please ask us for clarification before confirming a quote if you are unsure about an item’s condition, description accuracy, or the images provided. We will make reasonable efforts to obtain additional information from the seller on request. Once a bid is placed or a purchase is finalized, it cannot be canceled.

GET Japan LLC is not financially liable for items that were not purchased directly through our Import Service.

Our import process includes photographing and publicly sharing images and video of shipments, vehicles, parts, and loading and unloading activity. If confidentiality for your parts or vehicle is required, please do not use our service.

This Site is operated by GET Japan LLC, the same entity that operates get-jpn.com. These Terms apply only to getjapan.auction. Purchases made through get-jpn.com are governed by the Terms of Service posted on that site. Purchases made through other websites, including tonkotsuracing.com, are governed by those websites’ own terms.

The Site may contain links to websites operated by third parties, including Yahoo Auctions Japan and affiliated businesses. We do not examine or evaluate, and are not responsible for, the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party site, even where it is linked from our navigation or referenced in these Terms. If you leave this Site to visit another site, you do so at your own risk.

This Site, including its text, layout, displays, graphics, translations, price calculations, and their design, selection, and arrangement, is owned by GET Japan LLC, its affiliates, or its licensors, and is protected by U.S. and foreign intellectual property laws.

These Terms permit you to use the Site for personal, non-commercial use only. You must not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, publicly display, republish, download, store, scrape, or transmit any material from the Site without our prior written consent.

Original seller images and descriptions remain the property of their respective owners and are reproduced here for the purpose of describing items we can source. GET Japan’s names, logos, and slogans are our trademarks or those of our affiliates, and may not be used without our prior written permission. All other marks belong to their respective owners.

You may use the Site for lawful purposes only. You may not use the Site to engage in any unlawful or malicious purpose; violate any applicable law or regulation; infringe our or any third party’s intellectual property rights; harass, abuse, or harm any person; transmit false or misleading information; send unsolicited advertising or spam; impersonate any person or entity; or engage in conduct that restricts or inhibits anyone else’s use of the Site.

You additionally agree not to upload viruses or malicious code; reproduce, duplicate, or exploit any portion of the Site without authorization; collect or track others’ personal information; use bots, scrapers, or automated or AI-driven tools to access the Site without authorization; or bypass or interfere with any security or access-control measure.

If you use, enable, or deploy any automated or AI-driven software or service (an “Agent”) to access the Site on your behalf, that Agent may only access the Site if it identifies itself as an Agent in the user agent string of any request, does not conceal that it is an Agent, responds truthfully to any prompt intended to distinguish human from automated use, and does not circumvent any measure we use to control Agent access. We may limit or block Agent access at any time.

If you submit ideas, suggestions, feedback, requests, or other content, you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, sublicensable, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, distribute, and display that content for any purpose, including commercial use. We are under no obligation to keep it confidential, compensate you for it, or respond to it.

We may, but are not obligated to, monitor, edit, or remove content we determine to be unlawful, offensive, threatening, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable, or that violates any party’s rights or these Terms.

Information you submit through this Site, including the details you submit when you authorize a bid or confirm a purchase, is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using the Site, you acknowledge that you have read it.

Information presented on this Site, including translations, condition notes, price estimates, and arrival estimates, is provided for general informational purposes only. We do not warrant its accuracy, completeness, or usefulness, and any reliance on it is at your own risk.

EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY STATED BY GET JAPAN LLC IN WRITING, THE SITE AND ALL ITEMS AND SERVICES OFFERED THROUGH IT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT YOUR USE OF THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SITE OR ANY ITEM OR SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU ACTUALLY PAID TO GET JAPAN LLC FOR THE ITEM OR SERVICE GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM. You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless GET Japan LLC and our affiliates, owners, officers, directors, employees, agents, contractors, and service providers from any losses, damages, liabilities, or claims, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising from (1) your breach of these Terms, (2) your violation of any law or third party’s rights, or (3) your access to or use of the Site.

We will notify you of any indemnifiable claim; a delay in notice will not relieve your obligations unless it materially prejudices your defense. We may control the defense and settlement of such a claim at your expense, but will not settle in a way that imposes non-monetary obligations on you without your consent, which will not be unreasonably withheld.

We may terminate this agreement or your access to the Site, in whole or in part, at our sole discretion and without notice. You will remain liable for all amounts due through the date of termination. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including Intellectual Property, Feedback, Disclaimer of Warranties, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, Severability, Waiver, Entire Agreement, Assignment, Dispute Resolution, and Governing Law.

Please read this section carefully. It affects your legal rights, including your right to file a lawsuit in court.

Agreement to Arbitrate. You and GET Japan LLC agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms, the Site, or any item or service obtained through this Site (a “Dispute”) will be resolved by binding arbitration on an individual basis, rather than in court, except that either party may bring an individual action in small claims court, and either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in court to prevent actual or threatened infringement, misappropriation, or violation of intellectual property rights.

Arbitration Rules. The arbitration will be administered by the American Arbitration Association (“AAA”) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules then in effect. The arbitration will be conducted in Los Angeles County, California, unless you and GET Japan LLC agree otherwise, or, at your election if you reside in the United States, in the county where you reside. Judgment on the arbitration award may be entered in any court having jurisdiction.

Class Action Waiver. You and GET Japan LLC agree that any Dispute will be brought only in an individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, consolidated, or representative proceeding. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person’s claims and may not preside over any form of representative or class proceeding. If this class action waiver is found unenforceable as to a particular Dispute, then that Dispute (and only that Dispute) may be brought in court, and the remainder of this arbitration agreement will remain in effect.

Right to Opt Out. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by sending written notice to hello@get-jpn.com within 30 days of the date you first accepted these Terms, stating your name and a clear statement that you wish to opt out of arbitration. If you opt out, neither you nor GET Japan LLC will be required to arbitrate Disputes with the other, but all other parts of these Terms will continue to apply.

These Terms, and any Dispute not subject to arbitration under Section 20, will be governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. For any Dispute not subject to arbitration, you and GET Japan LLC consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the state and federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.

Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the fullest extent permitted by law, and the unenforceable portion will be severed, without affecting the validity of the remaining provisions.

Waiver and Entire Agreement. Our failure to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not constitute a waiver of it. These Terms, together with any policies posted by us, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding this Site, and supersede any prior or contemporaneous agreements, communications, or proposals, whether oral or written. Any ambiguity will not be construed against the drafting party.

Assignment. You may not delegate, transfer, or assign these Terms or any of your rights or obligations without our prior written consent, and any attempt to do so is void. We may transfer, assign, or delegate these Terms and our rights and obligations without notice or consent.

Headings. The headings used in these Terms are included for convenience only and do not limit or otherwise affect these Terms.

You can review the current version of these Terms at any time on this page. We may update, change, or replace any part of these Terms at our sole discretion by posting changes to this Site; it is your responsibility to check this page periodically. We will notify you of material changes as required by applicable law, and such changes take effect on the date specified in the notice. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of those changes.
