Description

This is a late-model GA61 Celica XX, G-type grade, a 1984 (Showa 59) 2.0L gasoline coupe with automatic transmission, RHD, in white (#035 Super White). The seller has owned it since 2013, kept it registered on an Ehime '56' plate, and stored it in a warehouse for the past 13 years. In 2021 the engine, transmission, and ECU were swapped in from a Mark II GX100 (donor car had about 100,000 km on it); a copy of the donor's registration is included. Since the swap the car has only covered about 100 km. Timing belt, water pump, alternator, and radiator were replaced at the time of the swap. The A/C is the original manual 'Double X' unit but has been retrofitted and still cools. The vehicle's registration still lists the engine as '1G' and no structural modification filing is required to pass Japanese inspection (shaken), though shaken is currently lapsed. The seller states the swapped engine performs noticeably better than the original 5M-GEU version. Tires are 2016 Yokohamas with about 90% tread remaining but should be considered a bonus given their age; no cracking is noted. The car will be sold with temporary deregistration paperwork rather than the physical plate, though plate retention may be possible for buyers in eligible regions with an additional deposit.

Seller notes typical A60-series Celica rust around both rear quarter panels plus minor scratches, dents, and rust elsewhere on the body, a torn driver's seat side bolster with overall seat fading, sticky/seized brakes (fine for loading onto a car carrier), a modified headlight switch, no overdrive-off switch, an occasionally erratic fuel gauge, and an odometer that stopped accumulating mileage after the engine swap (speedometer and tachometer still function).

Shipping: The car has no valid shaken (inspection expired years ago), so self-propelled pickup is not permitted. The seller can arrange delivery using their own flatbed car carrier at rates comparable to a major hauler (Zero) quote, and a separate recycling deposit of 6,830 yen is required in addition to the winning bid.
