This is a popular RS FACTORY STAGE 60mm (2-sun) diameter rear muffler for the Mazda Roadster/Miata NB chassis. The seller states it is still sold new by the manufacturer at a list price around 60,000 yen before tax. It replaces only the rear section on the NB and uses a shallower, larger-radius U-pipe connecting to the center pipe, aimed at reducing cabin drone while keeping a 60mm straight-through design for smooth power delivery. Idle sound is said to be close to stock, with a drier, sportier tone under throttle; the seller describes it as compliant with Japanese vehicle inspection (shaken) standards and quiet enough for residential use. This is a used part, not new.
The muffler had corrosion and surface rust that the seller polished out by hand, leaving a decent shine; there is a partial dent in the muffler body that is not visible once installed.
