Nissan L28 N42 Engine Block & Head - S30 240Z, Hakosuka, Kenmeri, Laurel

This is a Nissan L28 N42 cylinder block and head, sold as the seller's remaining stock of this now-scarce N42 combination. The seller reports no major cracks found on inspection, including the crank, which was coated in a rust-preventive varnish from new and cleans up well when wiped down. The block was previously bored once to 88.38mm oversize (a later measurement using an installed piston suggests it may actually be closer to 89mm), and the cylinder walls show surface rust; there is bore room remaining for further boring/honing with oversize pistons such as Mekaruto (Kameari) parts. The block is an HS130-spec casting with the oil cooler port blocked off, while both block and head are N42. Intake ports have been modified for fuel injection, the cam gear is S30-spec, and the oil pan/strainer are S130-spec; with a modified oil level gauge this engine can be adapted to fit Hakosuka, Kenmeri, or Laurel chassis. It was originally a shower-type oiling system. Not included: camshaft, pistons, camshaft bolt washers, and cylinder head bolt washers; nearly all other hardware is present except for timing cover bolts.

Seller notes visible scratches/dirt consistent with used parts; cylinder bores show surface rust and the block was previously bored to an oversize spec (approx. 88.38-89mm). Some small hardware (camshaft, pistons, certain washers) is missing, though most other bolts are included.
