Description

This is a 1982 (Showa 57) Mazda Savanna RX-7 SA22C GT-X coupe, originally equipped with the 6PI engine but now fitted with a 12A rotary featuring a single-side 4mm bridge port (using the old-logo housing). Modifications include coilovers with pillow ball upper mounts, Weber 48IDA carburetors, air pump delete, period competition-style Tsubaki header and Fujitsubo exhaust with no catalytic converter, a Pioneer DEH-P910 head unit, Omori triple gauge cluster (one gauge has intermittent contact issues), and Hallow Special wheels. The car is air-conditioning delete. Nardi steering wheel shown in photos will not be included; the car will be sold with the stock wheel, though an aftermarket boss will be included. The engine was overhauled about six years ago and has covered roughly 5,000 km since. The seller estimates 170-200 horsepower based on personal impression, not a dyno figure. Mileage shows 89,345 km but the odometer has been replaced at some point. No shaken (vehicle inspection) is currently valid, and the seller believes it would not pass emissions in its current state due to removed equipment. A bundle of spare/take-off parts is included: a 12A 6PI engine (for overhaul), 6PI exhaust and catalyst set, engine overhaul seals, a pair of take-off doors, a stock LSD (parts unit), a stock rear bumper, urethane suspension bushings, and Weber jets. A vehicle walkaround video link is provided by the seller.

Seller notes corrosion on the lower sections of both doors (fairly rusted, though a spare pair of yellow doors with less rust is included), a weak battery, a deformed oil cooler from a past jack mishap (does not affect function), a faulty fuel door switch (hidden bypass switch installed), and a broken aftermarket keyless entry system with its wiring currently disconnected. Underbody shows wear consistent with age but no severe corrosion, and exterior paint is mostly original with some touch-up spots.

Shipping: The seller states the winning bidder must arrange and pay for vehicle transport; direct pickup is also possible. The car can be driven short distances on a temporary permit at the buyer's own risk, but this is not part of any shipping arrangement made by the seller.
