This is a rare, period Kenwood 2DIN CD/MD deck, the DPX-7100MDi, a 20th anniversary model. The seller tested CD playback, MD playback, AM/FM radio, LCD display and LCD flip-open function, and speaker output, and reports all functions work without issue. The unit has been overhauled: CD lens and rubber roller cleaning, MD lens cleaning and mechanism inspection, laser adjustment, and repair/reinforcement of solder cracks on the main board, resulting in fast disc reading and good overall operation. The LCD, which commonly degrades on this model, shows no fading and displays cleanly. The seller notes the deck is in fairly clean condition overall despite some minor scratches.
Seller states there are minor scratches but no notable damage or dirt, and all functions (CD/MD playback, radio, LCD display) tested working after a full overhaul including lens cleaning and solder crack repair.
