Kawasaki Z400FX - Non-Original Exhaust, Vintage Restoration Base (Z1/Z2 Era)

This is a Kawasaki Z400FX (engine number KZ400EE) sold as a restoration-base motorcycle. Note that the exhaust currently on the bike is not the original Z400FX muffler; it will be removed before shipping and the buyer must supply their own gasket and reinstall an exhaust. The seller states it was originally a domestic-market E3 spec bike with unclear true mileage. A cracked head cover was replaced with an excellent used unit and the engine was inspected; a shop familiar with Z1/Z2 models reportedly said this engine runs unusually quiet and well for an FX. It has a Uotani SP2 ignition, was repainted roughly a year ago, has a new main wiring harness, and much of the electrical system was reportedly replaced with new parts. Both gauges function normally, and the carburetor was rebuilt by a specialist (Yamanouchi Carburetor). Known issues include needing a proper warm-up before it revs cleanly, and the tail light not illuminating when the front or rear brake is applied (front is likely a bad connection; rear can be adjusted at a shop). Japanese vehicle inspection (shaken) is still valid. Sold strictly as a restoration base.
