This is a Honda DAX Type 2 (ST50) that the seller purchased as a base bike and fully customized and restored. The frame and bodywork were repainted in two-part urethane. The engine is built around a Modern Works GPX125 kit with a high-compression piston, reinforced cam chain tensioner, Takegawa valve spring seat, and freshly adjusted tappets. It runs a Tanaka Shokai lightweight outer rotor rewired for half-wave rectification, Modern Works CDI, Kitako kick pedal, CR26 carburetor with an Active high-slow throttle, and a G-Craft variable manifold, feeding a one-off steel exhaust routed close to the engine for ground clearance. Other work includes a 12V Monkey-based wiring harness with dual key cylinder capability, a 4-row oil cooler on Mizuno Bankin brackets with AN6 fittings, a one-off oil catch tank, a low-profile floral Dax seat, an adjustable steering damper, and a period original rear carrier. Front end is a Type 2 separated fork shortened 100mm, double disc brakes with one-off rotors and Brembo caliper supports. Rear uses a KEPSPEED wheel, widened swingarm, and shortened OKD shocks. Most custom parts are new; the brake master cylinder is a rebuilt used unit. Fuel is currently drained for storage.
Seller's overall condition tag reads no notable scratches or dirt, but the description notes the rear fender has scratches and paint chipping from being reshaped after painting, the brake lever is bent, and carryover parts from the base bike (turn signals, tail base) show scratches and rust. Sold as-is; seller recommends a full inspection before riding since it has not been run long distances since assembly.
