Description

This is a custom rigid-frame Harley built from an FXEF (6E) 80 cubic inch base. It was newly registered in Japan in 2013 and ridden about 1,000 km before the vehicle inspection (shaken) lapsed in 2016; it has since sat stored in the seller's garage. Photos shown are from when it still had valid inspection. The motor is the original 6E unit, and the 4-speed transmission is also original, overhauled to address an oil leak. The gooseneck rigid frame is believed to be a one-off built on a Paughco base. Front suspension is a 74-style springer fork, with what the seller believes is a Star hub front end. The front drum brake shoes were replaced with new parts, the open primary was installed new at registration, and the fuel tank is also new. The handlebar is a one-off fabricated piece. Ignition is a Dyna S unit, carburetion is an E-carb, and the exhaust is straight pipes. Aside from the motor and transmission, essentially everything else has been changed from the base bike. The bike starts by kick only, uses a suicide clutch (left foot pedal), and a jockey shift (black lever to the left of the oil tank under the seat), so some familiarity is needed to ride it. The rigid setup is officially certified with no rear suspension noted on the registration, and the frame/VIN was stamped by the inspecting authority (shokken) at registration. Title transfer is required before handover.

Seller notes scratches and dirt consistent with age and long-term storage; the vehicle inspection (shaken) has been expired since 2016 and it has been sitting unused since. Several parts (frame origin, front end identity) are described as the seller's best guess rather than confirmed fact.

Shipping: The seller notes the bike sits very low and has not yet confirmed transport arrangements with a shipping company. No carrier or shipping cost has been finalized at listing time.
