2JZ-GTE Engine – Pre-VVT, Removed From Running Aristo, Long-Term Storage

This is a 2JZ-GTE engine pulled from a Toyota Aristo about 5-6 years ago. It is the early pre-VVT version. The seller had planned to install it in an ER34 with a certified build but the project stalled, so it is being sold to someone who can put it to use. The engine was running under its own power at the time of removal, taken out when the donor car's inspection lapsed; odometer read roughly 130,000 km at that time, though mileage is not guaranteed. It has been stored in a roofed warehouse under a blue tarp and was brought outside only for these photos; it has not been cleaned so buyers can see its true long-term-storage condition. Sold as-is as a maintenance/overhaul base. Some ancillary components are still attached but should be considered a bonus rather than guaranteed included parts. The wiring harness has been cut partway through, since it was originally being rewired for a standalone ECU harness for the ER34 swap.

Seller notes scratches and dirt consistent with long-term storage; crankshaft rotation was not checked to avoid risking damage to pistons or cylinders after sitting idle so long.

Shipping: Seller strongly prefers local pickup and has no experience or confidence shipping an engine this large, so freight arrangements are handled case by case with extra time and packing fees if shipping is requested. Alternatives include the seller delivering via a rented kei truck or meeting partway, with the buyer needing to bring lifting equipment (crane, forklift, or a truck-mounted crane) to move the engine off its pallet. If the item does ship, the seller states they cannot take responsibility for transit damage.
