1982 Kawasaki Z750FX III Custom Built to Type I (1-Gata) Spec

This is a 1982 Kawasaki Z750FX III that the seller purchased as a stock base bike, restored, and heavily customized to replicate the earlier Type I (1-gata) appearance. It was imported and newly registered in Japan in October 2024. Extensive work includes a full swap to Type I gauges, indicator lights, handlebar switches, headlight stay/light, and key cylinder; a modified seat lock retaining stock key access; relocated rear cowl mounting holes on the frame; and a Kawasaki Z1000R long swingarm for balance. Other upgrades include overhauled front forks (repainted black), new stem/steering bearings, Daytona retro brake master cylinder, rebuilt brake calipers with new pads, a new reinforced main harness, Mikuni/Keihin-style CR29 carburetors with brass short funnels, a Zephyr 750 oil pan, an Active round oil cooler, a Yoshimura oil temp gauge, an M-TEC Chukyo short muffler, a Doremi Collection Type I reproduction bodywork set finished in a custom purple/gold metallic scheme, an aftermarket FRP front fender, a Pingel fuel valve, a fenderless Type I taillight setup, and a reproduction seat with gel padding. The engine has not been overhauled. Odometer reads about 4,200 km since a new meter was installed (prior meter showed 16,000 km); true total mileage is unknown. Title and registration are current with shaken valid through October 2029 (Reiwa 9).
Seller notes slight scratches and dirt overall (やや傷や汚れあり), with normal engine sound for an old Kawasaki and a bit of white smoke from the exhaust, though not enough to concern the seller during regular riding. The engine has not been overhauled and true mileage is unknown due to a meter replacement.
