1979 Vespa 50S – Original First Paint, 2,435km, Barn Find

This is a 1979 Vespa 50S (frame V5SA1T), a pre-reproduction model with only 2,435km on the odometer and its original first paint. The seller, a long-time Vespa collector, personally serviced the scooter about 10 years ago at roughly 2,000km: handlebar tube and steering stem bearing disassembly/cleaning, front and rear brake service, transmission oil change, ignition point and timing adjustment, carburetor cleaning, fuel tank cleaning, and fuel petcock replacement. Stator wiring was rewired due to deterioration. Tires (including the spare) were replaced 8 years ago with Michelin S83s; the spare is unused. Rear brake oil seal was replaced, and the muffler was cleaned of carbon and heat-treated with heat-resistant paint. The seat was swapped for a genuine saddle seat with a repainted mounting bracket, a SIEM taillight assembly was fitted with a repainted metal casing, an aftermarket sharp lever was installed, and the foot brake pedal was swapped for an older-style genuine round-pipe type. Comes with one NEIMAN handlebar lock key. The vehicle has been deregistered and a deregistration certificate will be provided; no compulsory insurance (jibaiseki) is attached. Replaced original parts are not included. Stored indoors and not used in rain.

Seller notes scratches and dirt (kizu ya yogore ari) and says the front brake is slightly grabby, though the bike otherwise runs and stops normally; a rear side area was professionally repainted 8 years ago to fix scuffs, with a slight color mismatch possible.
