This is a Japanese domestic-market (non-reverse-imported) 1977 Kawasaki Z650/KZ650, registered in Showa 52 (March 1977). Frame number KZ650B-0166, engine number KZ650BE-0203. The seller restored the bike to ride but is selling due to needing funds. Stampings and engine/frame markings are said to be clear and undamaged, with no handlebar stopper damage. The engine reportedly runs well with no unusual noise or white smoke and no hard-starting issues; it was test ridden on the property only and the transmission shifts well. Recent work includes rim spoke re-lacing, reupholstered seat, front fork seal replacement with genuine Kawasaki G15 oil, tank de-rusted and cleaned, new chain and sprocket, point condenser, regulator, turn signal relay, Nissin brakes, tires, rear shocks, alfin side covers, Marchal headlight, spark plugs, oil change, and air filter. A Yoshimura-type exhaust is fitted. A GS750 carburetor and a windshield are currently mounted for testing purposes and will be removed before delivery; the original handlebar, original muffler, the original carburetor, and one spare take-off carburetor will be included regardless. Known issues: the horn does not sound and one screw on the starter motor cover is broken. Start-up and riding videos were filmed the same day as listing.
